Your career starts with an application.

All employee candidates are required to submit to various testing phases during the application process.  The specific testing processes vary dependent upon the position(s) applied for. Candidates are notified of each phase of the process. Candidates are informed of the specific testing process and the requirements for successfully completion of that phase.

Qualified applicants may be provided with an extensive electronic background packet to complete.  Once the packet is completed, an initial Pre-Screen review will be conducted by a background investigator.  The background investigator will thoroughly review the packet for completeness, mandatory disqualifiers, and areas of concern.  The review will also involve an interview with the applicant to provide additional detail regarding information provided or omitted in the packet.  

Below is a general outline of the testing requirements for each position.  More or less requirements may be implemented.

** Sworn Written test and Physical Ability Test may be waived for current Lateral Nevada Law Enforcement Applicants.
